Sea turtles
Save and Protect Sea Turtles!
I think it is very important that our sea turtles are safe because they’re becoming extinct and should be protected by the country. To support my point of views I’m going to share some interesting facts about human interferences and easy things we can do to help the sea turtles survival.
Did you know that sea turtles have outlasted the dinosaurs? So here are some more interesting facts about where and what sea turtles do during their life. Sea turtles grow to the size of a dinner plate and the leather back turtle grows to the size of a dining room table. But each year thousands of sea turtles die getting caught in fishing nets and drowning.
Human interferences have been messing with our precious sea turtles, which is very sad. People are destroying their nesting sites and using their poor little bodies for illegal black markets, their meat is eaten by special people on special occasions and their shells are used to carve combs, jewellery, spears, fishhooks and tools.
Here are some easy solutions we can do to help the sea turtles survival. We can stop our sea turtles dying by picking up rubbish and also keeping up to date the latest news because you’ll know what’s happening to them. Another solution we can do is to keep away from where they nest and feed because we’ll destroy their environment and wreck their life cycle. We can also help people by putting signs up that say, help increase turtle numbers!.
In conclusion I believe that sea turtles should be protected because they’re becoming extinct and should be looked after. So will you stop killing our beautiful reptiles, or will you be one of the caring humans that help look after them.

Moment In Time
Pollution in Rio
As I am going out on my stand up paddle board I started gasping for breath, because all I could see was green dirty water that was full of food packets, containers, plastic bags, buckets and heaps of smelly dead fish.
Then as I was on my board all I could feel was the bodies of the rubbish pushing me deeper into the sea, I thought this was a beautiful place to take a photo, but then I realised the quality of the water was really embarrassing, and it made me feel sorry for all of the people who live in Rio De Janeiro, because they shouldn’t be living like this.
I try not to think about all of this, but I can’t believe that people would do this to pollute the sea, wishing that I regret littering because I was one of those people who may have caused this pollution.
As I am surrounded by all of this yuck mucky sewage that stunk of rotten stench, I feel like my heart is aching with pain but I can’t do anything about it so I decided to head back to shore, but as I was heading to shore I was shocked with happiness because all I could see was the beautiful sunlight peaking through the white fluffy clouds.
SO LET’S HELP, AND STOP THE POLLUTION!!!

Matariki writing
Matariki
Have you ever heard of Matariki?
Well, Matariki is a special tradition that happens all over the world, it brings people together, and they celebrate what has happened over the past or things that will happen in the future.
Its also the Maori New Year where it signals new beginnings and brings people together from all over the world. Some other things they do to celebrate Matariki is weaving, fly kites, hangi, kapa haka performances, games, story telling, and remembering the people who have passed away.
Did you know that Matariki concludes more than 300 stars in the constellation, and most other people say that Matariki is the mother of her six daughters, and she is surrounded and loved by her six daughters in the sky, which are Tupu-a-nuku, Tupu-a-rangi, Waiti, Waita, and Waipuna rangi.
Another thing people say that Ranginui and Papatuanuku, the earth mother were separated by the god of wind's, Tawhirimatea, Tawhirimatea became so angry that he tore his eye’s out, and threw them into the sky.
One day if you’re outside during Winter time and you don’t know where the 7 sisters are in the sky, then maybe if you looked more in the eastern sky, that’s where they’ll be.

olympics
OLYMPIC CREED:
The most important thing in the Olympics is not to win but to take part, just as the most important thing in life is not triumph but the struggle. The essential thing is not to have conquered but to have fought well.

Camp
Memory's of camp
Camp was really fun because I really enjoyed the things we did, and I still wish I was sitting there munching on all the delicious food we had. My experience at camp has been the best thing that has ever happened to me, and I will never forget the week we spent down there.
When we were at camp we did many of activities such as slug guns, team building, orienteering, waterslide, archery, swimming, confidence course, abseiling, rock climbing, and a swimming inflatable. All these activities were really fun, but required a little strength and trusting yourself. One of my favourite activities were confidence course and abseiling, because I had never done it before, and I found it really cool.
Another thing we did while we were at camp was, a 13 k walk through the Abel Tasman National Park, walk way. We stopped off at many places like Pelorous bay, and Apple tree bay. We also stopped off at Anchorage for a nice relaxing swim, in the glorious blue water. Then after our swim we got picked up by a water taxi, and it took us for a ride past the Abel Tasman National Park, and then it dropped us off at Kaiteretere beach
At camp we each got given a camp diary, this diary was used each night to write something cool we did, and stuff you have learnt or just found out about. Some things I learnt down there was giving everything ago, trying your best and I also made new relationships with other people I don't really know.
On the last day of camp each cabin group performed a act, we each performed an act because we were having a lip syn battle, my cabin group was Molly, Tanishah, and Jahvana, we were all very scared so we joined up with Phoenix's group, and we performed wake up in the morning.
HERE IS A PICTURE OF THE ADULTS PERFORMING THEIR ACT!!!!!
